I am a Ph.D. student in the Department of Integrative Biology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. I work in Dr. Monica Turner’s Ecosystem and Landscape Ecology Lab, where I study the mechanisms of environmental change. I am currently focused on understanding subalpine forest regeneration after fire in the U.S. Northern Rockies.
I am a Fall 2017 Teaching Assistant for Animal Biology (Zoology 101) in the Department of Integrative Biology.
I recently earned my M.S. in Systems Ecology at the University of Montana in Missoula. In Dr. Philip Higuera’s PaleoEcology and Fire Ecology Lab, where I reconstructed paleofire regimes in Alaskan boreal forests during the Holocene to better understand the varying drivers of fire activity over space and time.
